Day ledger
Automatic, offline, and deliberately coarse
The app attributes each day to a country using low-power visit monitoring, entirely on-device. There is no GPS trail: coordinates are rounded to roughly 110 metres before they are stored, because country attribution needs nothing finer. Days without evidence are held as explicit unknowns, never guessed.

A year at a glance, honest about gaps
Year and month views color each day by country, hatch unknown days, and let you fill gaps in one motion. The day detail shows segments, evidence, and how each active rule treats that day — "counts as UK day: no, not present at midnight; counts as NY day: yes, any part of the day".
Counters
Rules explained in plain English, evaluated in full
Every counter carries the rule's explanation, the current evaluation trace, the window visualization, and the official source. Rolling-window rules project the earliest breach date and the next day freed.
Day counts for Austria, France, Germany, Hong Kong SAR China, Israel, Japan, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, and Switzerland display as advisory only — those jurisdictions weigh facts and circumstances, so Residay shows the count with a persistent caveat instead of a conclusion.
Attestations and interviews
What the ledger cannot know, it asks
Rules turn on facts no sensor can see — a permanent home, a directorship, a residence permit. Residay captures these as explicit attestations through short jurisdiction interviews, each question paired with why it is asked, each answer dated and reusable.
Exports
Made to be handed to an accountant
CSV per counter with attribution reasons and evidence summaries. Premium adds a branded PDF report per jurisdiction and period: counts, the convention applied, the day table, attestations on record, unknown-day exposure, and the rules version it was computed with.
